Privacy Policy
Draft — last edited 2026-08-25What we collect
When you create a myStuf account, we collect the email address and password you provide. Password is never stored in plain text.
Everything you enter into the app — collections, items, custom fields, photos, and attachments — is stored so it can sync across your devices and be backed up. We don't review or use the content of your collections for any purpose other than providing the app to you.
How your data is stored
- Your account and collections data live on our own servers, not a third-party data broker.
- Automatic backups are copied off-server to Cloudflare R2, encrypted in transit, and used only to restore your data if something goes wrong.
- You can export your own data or request deletion at any time — see Support.
Third-party services we use
A few features send a specific lookup — never your account identity or full collection — to outside services in order to fill in details automatically:
- Google Books / OpenLibrary — book title/author lookup from an ISBN or cover photo
- NHTSA — VIN decoding and recall lookups
- OpenFDA — medication name/details lookup
- A transactional email provider — sends account verification and password-reset emails only
What we don't do
- We don't run ads in the app.
- We don't sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We don't use your collections data to train any model.
Children's privacy
myStuf is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
